Second Saturday at the Museum!

Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center - Fredericksburg, VA
Second Saturday at the Museum!

Join us on November 10 from 1-3 pm for Second Saturdays at the Museum! It's a fiber-filled season at the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center, and what better way to get a warm and fuzzy feeling than learning about the warm, fuzzy fabrics that make fall and winter so wonderful? Stop in to experience the Community Artist Series: Fiber Art and learn about weaving, spinning, and fabric making. Children aged 3 and up and their parents can work together to create beautiful God's Eyes yarn sculptures, and get a jump on a handmade holiday gift by learning to finger knit. Admission is FREE! Second Saturdays at the Museum is a regularly scheduled family program that includes hands-on activities, make-and-take crafts, and an opportunity to explore the Museum’s exhibits. The program is held on the second Saturday of each month, with varying topics and themes. Second Saturdays at the Museum is a FREE family program unless otherwise specified. Registration is not required except when noted. For additional information on this program, please contact Janelle Kennedy, jkennedy@famcc.org, or 540-371-3037, ext. 142.
